Cooperative Marketing to Scale Up Market Reach and Drive Bookings:

The USAID-funded Building Economic Sustainability through Tourism (BEST) Project is excited to announce this Request for Applications (RFA) for interested Jordanian inbound tour operators to be considered for receiving one of ten available grants for their cooperative marketing plans during the period of February 2016 – December 2016.

Eligible Recipients

BEST encourages applications from both existing and new organizations who meet the following eligibility criteria. BEST recognizes that some grantees may need technical assistance to more effectively carry out the activity. Consequently applicants are encouraged to specify their needs for technical assistance and/or training in their concept paper.

•Applicants must be a registered in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan formally constituted, recognized by and in good standing with the appropriate Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan authorities, and compliant with all applicable civil and fiscal regulations.

•Applicants must be able to demonstrate successful past performance in implementation of integrated development programs related to BEST project’s priority areas.

•Applicants must have established outreach capabilities with linkages to the beneficiary group(s) identified in their program description. This should be reflected by the incorporation of the beneficiary perspective in the application.

•Applicants must display sound management in the form of financial, administrative, and technical policies and procedures and present a system of internal controls that safeguard assets; protect against fraud, waste, and abuse; and support the achievement of program goals and objectives. The BEST project will assess this capability prior to awarding a grant.
