Ahmad Al Silawi has been running a tourism restaurant in Irbid for the past seven years and learned of the incentives through the campaign. “The reduction in sales tax amplified our sales by around 15% to 20% and it increased our competitiveness within the market,” said Ahmad. Looking ahead, he said, “The decrease in income tax has reduced our overall costs, which encourages us to develop the restaurant.”

Since the tourism investment incentives awareness campaign began, new tourism investments totaling more than JD 32 million have been planned, which will create over 600 jobs, and almost JD5 million has been invested in new equipment for existing restaurants.
