Handicraft sector development

Handicrafts reflecting Jordan’s heritage and culture have the potential to create lucrative incomes for communities and provide employment opportunities, especially for women, while preserving traditional skills. Therefore, this initiative is built to support the handicraft sector in developing a plan for designing, producing, finishing and packaging handicrafts. In addition, JTD II is committed to cooperating with key handicraft development entities for handicraft design and production, conducting a needs analysis and assessing the handicraft sector in Jordan. This initiative also provides training and accreditation program for artisans.
